Untreated compressed air contains contaminants such as water, rust, dirt, and oil. Particulate matter and oil can be removed by filtration, but water usually remains in vapor form. If the air is not dried, this water will enter the compressed air system, and will result in production losses, product quality problems and high maintenance costs. One solution would be to install a refrigerated air dryer that offers a +39° dew point. (Applications vary and require different dew points)
